RK jobs
how something to let you skip past the miles of tunnels you have to run through to get to your front door. Since their your home tunnels you could treat it like a shortcut only a dwarf who lived there could find.

Yeah, anything to make that trip a little easier. Both as a dorf and as a raider I HATE that long walk.
When my DD tried to go to Ave for the first time, I died in the hills. It was such a long walk I just waited for about an hour to get rezzed instead of respawning like I would from any oter faction.

Number of screens isnt always a good way to judge. the first screen after the hillsis a spiral. It takes longer to run through hat one without fighting than it takes to fight through most screens.Netrom.dk wrote:C'mon guys.
The initial spawnpoint for RK is 8-9 maps away from Avendell, thats about the same as TC and AO if they don't use dragons.
If the back door to SL is closed RK is the second closest city to SL only LA is closer. RK is also the closest city to MA if you know the right path.

After clearing the bugs from the caves, as a job reward you get the password to tell the npc gaurdian of the secret door that let's you skip the cave screens and go straight from the city to the outside mouth of the cave or back...
Basically lose the hidden door thing and replace it with an NPC that given the right circumstances (i.e. you character is of the proper faction, knows the password, can bluff well enough, etc.) teleports (or call it "let's you use the secret door" if you want, or whatever fits the story) you to wherever.

Netrom's right. It's not as bad as people are making it out to be. Keep in mind that RK has a pretty good defensive setup for the relics.
