Monks in all factions but not MA ??

Hi all. Just a quick question.

I noticed on the wiki today that the monk class is allowed in every faction but the Mystral ascendancy. Is it because of the monk/pm massive ac combo? which u can get fairly close by being an RDD in the ancient ones faction.

Anyway was just wandering about this combo is all because a neutral or evil monk seems to fit nicely with the Mystral ascendancy storyline.

MA focuses more on magics and trickery rather than the ordered, intense, personal training of monks. Monks strictly adhere to codes of conduct while a citizen of MA would have no qualms about sticking a knife in your back.

...and the pm/monk combo may have had something to do with it...

Yes, people often miss the meaning of MA. MA is a tiny faction holed up in the Garagoth Peninsula, cowardly, waiting, lurking. They are the opposite of lawful, heck visit the Brothel and you'll find out why. Their demented experiments are reasons why an order of lawful evil monks would despise them.

aye, put simply MA and Garagoth itself are a dump....the brothel only charges 10gp at the door tho...a nice bargain
