I don't mind people clinging onto characters from old factions that there guild is no longer part of. I love halflings, I really do. But my guild moved to RK, yeah...kinda sad but still good. I used to play Dwarves before Halflings (no seriously), so its okay.

Im confused Fricebottle...how can an LA toon steal a relic from LA? Doesn't the cradle just tell him that they hold one of the enemies relics?
It is quite possible that I missed something there but please explain...

I have have used my LA character to raid for SL & see no problem with it. I have never used it in a NS raid. I have asked since a few complained about how strong SL was - it was not a problem. It would be nice to change it to a SL character but there hasn't been an answer yet to that PM.

No... the problem is using a "guild tagged" toon from the wrong faction..that's the issue really being discussed here.

Ok, I see the complaint here... my guess is Loki got owned by a DD tagged char from MA and didn't like it.
If someone has time to post about something like this and go crying to the DMs, they have too much time on their hands -- no offense.
And Poet, aren't your posts just the same as Loki's? [Edited for privacy issues].

Umm.....
1. I thought the guild tagging thing just meant the toon could not have a guild house key if he wasn't:
{I} From the guilds proper faction and
{II} Identified by tag or in the description of the guild they are a member of. with the modifier to the rule
{III} If the toon was created before the guildhouse was put in, they could still get a key.
BUT:
{VI} Any character created after the guildhouse was put in must follow rule I and II with no exceptions.
-Physically HAVING guild-dyed gear is available to anyone in a guild or not, just not the ability to paint it themselves if they aren't properly tagged and keyed.
*Physically being inside a guild house is available to anyone who can get into a guildhouse by any means (although getting back OUT again could be harder than getting in ;]) except by their own key if they aren't tagged and keyed...
2. In relic raids -- both for defending AND attacking, the rules have not totally been laid down... It's ULTRA-CHEESE for someone who normally plays SL or MA toons to take a TC toon to raid NC and drop the relic in Menzo or Garagoth, but on the same hand, technically I don't see a problem with AO and RK joining to steal relics for one, the other or both, or MA+SL, or TC+NC... the faction alliances are there for a reason after all.
I see the problems in defining rules for relic raids though, because what happens if rival factions band together and agree to split the relics if they help eachother raid and get them? 4 people from LA and 3 from RK could join together and raid Garagoth...
As for a LA toon raiding LA for an enemy faction -- that's easy enough to do, if you're partied with someone from an enemy faction, they can grab the relic, drop it and you can pick it up with the LA toon then bring it wherever you want -- however this behaviour is frowned upon by all (including the gods) and -should- have dire consequences...
