Also another question ....

I know whit kst we have different chars with multiple variations

i.e. -kSt-, =kSt= [kSt] .....

tLB has some with no tags but just a small description in there name, same with Deciple Red for dcn.

Are these chars going to be immune from this new rule or will there be possibility of a remake?

The same goes for HDA not that I belong there anymore but they use

-HDA- or the use of House Del'armgo in the name

aye, tho i expected Elagneros to mention this, i might as well toss it in here; we too have been using "Brother" or "Sister" and, "Brethren" as a form of representation, as well as " tLB " or †LB , tho i dont know how many variables our glorious Netrom will be willing to work with :P

and besides, its not my place to give the final word either...*tips hat to Elagneros*

edit: it would be a cool feature if different specific variables could be worked in for the guilds who often use other words as a tag rather than the blunt 3 letter tag, as was mentioned "disciple" , and HDA spelled out :

obviously it would have to be all case sensitive -- (example) "Brother" not "brother" ; if its only a matter of punching words in which the new keygens will recognize, then that would be awesome.....but obviously if the Devs were shooting for a uniformed look of all the represented guilds on the server, then the guilds would be obviously limited to our 2 or 3 letter official tags.

---wow i type like a college professor lectures, used the word obviously way too many times

You can only receive keys from guilds in your own faction.

...and im sure theyve got somthing set up to only allow a character to carry one key... right?

You can carry multiple of the same key in your inventory this happened to me with HDA guild key was given multiple by mistake had to ask a DM to remove it aswell because it is a no dropable item :)

Funny thing though is you wanted to prolly get yourself banned you could fill someones inventory completely with keys lol would block then up for awhile

All the devs would have to do is ban the person causing all the ruckus, it wouldn't be hard at all to find their login.

any character caught wearing multiple tags will find themselves level 1 with all 8s in an area they cant leave and a few 50 pound rocks in their inventory for good measure. also the player will be recomended for further punishment.

He is the nice one...

As far as the specifics no reasons to beat it to death, they must be the same, the higher powers will specify on case sensative.

It will be case sensitive.

It doesn't matter where in the name it is.

It will need to be the same for the whole guild. However in cases like HDA where the alternative tag is the whole name that will work too, but max 2 alternatives, but only when there is a valid reason, =kSt= and ~kSt~ isn't (sorry kSt but you guys was easiest to use for illustration). So there needs to be a clear connection between the 2 tags.

Old chars will be grandfathered in since they allready have the key but if they do not they will not be able to get one.
