Netrom.dk wrote:It will need to be the same for the whole guild. However in cases like HDA where the alternative tag is the whole name that will work too, but max 2 alternatives, but only when there is a valid reason, =kSt= and ~kSt~ isn't (sorry kSt but you guys was easiest to use for illustration). So there needs to be a clear connection between the 2 tags.

So does that mean that Guardian and Disciple could be the alternatives for [DCN] and Brother and Sister for tLB? Or is having over half the guild tagged in this fashion not a good enough reason?

MasterYoda wrote:Also another question ....

I know whit kst we have different chars with multiple variations

i.e. -kSt-, =kSt= [kSt] .....

tLB has some with no tags but just a small description in there name, same with Deciple Red for dcn.

Are these chars going to be immune from this new rule or will there be possibility of a remake?

If you make your guild tag kSt without anything around it then you can use whatever you want on either side.

I remember Netrom a while back denying "Brother" and "Sister" as TLB only guild tags because they were deemed too generic in a fantasy setting such as NS4. This ruling may have been changed since, but I can neither confirm nor deny that. The same rule may apply to other names which could be deemed as generic under this server's Fantasy/Medieval setting.
Serving NS4 proper as Lathander and Sleeth as Bahamut.

Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.

Yes, Brother and Sister were deemed too generic for a tag, since cleric and monk builds could legitimately use it as part of their name form role playing reasons. So we aren't going to claim those as tags (we can't).

I made a post about it on our private forum to get feedback from my guildmates before we decide on an official tag, unfortunately the discussion has been somewhat light.

eh.. logic serves you well

a more vivid example: if a tag was "Fatzo" , then you could name a toon;

Ok, I admit I made a quick post while being way to tired. And even though that is better then being to drunk, it is not by much.

So now that I've thought a bit more about itl, this is how it will be.
There will be max 2 tags per guild, and they will clearly show who the persons belong to, without having to know to much of the guild back ground. Names like Brother/Sister won't work since who know whos brother or sister it is. Same with Disciple, guardian etc.

The second tag will therefor be something like (insert name) of the Dragon Mafia, of the Legendary Brethren, of the Square Table, etc etc.

"Of the Legendary Brethren" would probably be far too long to use. I've already had problems with characters using "of the Brethren" in the name being invalidated because the name was too long.

What if we were to use Bre†hren ( the † would prevent a non-tLB guild player who wanted to use "brethren" in their name from becoming upset)... as our second choice, it seems that " tLB or †LB " (again the use of the dagger to avoid having a name that may have tlb within it....tho i doubt such a word exists)... would be our only other options that i can think of, since we cannot use brother or sister... Obviously the final post / decision will come from ander

I prefer the one i made up for tLB ;] †Brother† or †Sister† -- a nod to the old †GoN† and combines the tLB bro and sis prefex...
