i know its a hard concept to get when you first switch...this isn't ns3.5.
the whole reason for the difference between the two generations is it is a seperate mod. we don't do newbie quests to let you run all over, our job quests get you used to the faction areas. we don't do explorer quests to get you running all over the map, thats your job to do if you want to look.
i know i know..its all crazy and stuff, but we put it up to you to do the exploring and searching for what is best for you. we don't tell you what is best.

Re: Last new Aetheria maps?
I gotta agree with the suggestion to explore. I've done the quest mods, and they get old after a while, so I really don't think that's the answer - just a different flavor of power-level xp grind/gear farm. I still am finding new areas (I've seen that durn ash mountain dragon once - never been able to find it again!). I kind of like getting lost once in a while, too. I suggest, if you don't know where the areas Amoenatop mentioned are, take one of your speedy highbies and go for a tour! Kill some stuff, note the CR, come back and level - some places are better levelling than others depending on your PC.
I also understood that the PW was specifically designed to encourage party play - having to learn from partymates seems to be part of that.
The job quests are totally underated for fun-factor, too. I've only done one RK toon, but the quests were pretty slick - at least two bosses I had never seen. CHeck out another faction, it's a chance to use the class you've always wanted to. (I played NC for a while, was seriously jonesing for a rogue)
You want a quest, pretend your god ordered you to go pk lowbies - your day will get interesting quick! Nobody says you have to fight the avengers that come after you - run away! Nothing keeps levelling interesting like having to look over your shoulder for the enemy!
I'm not dismissing you guys interests either, just presenting another perspective. A wise man (with the initals DD) said it's not the destination, it's the journey.
(That said, I liked the old Frostdale set up - FD just seemed ... BIGGER, and the map with the seer was cool.)

Three years of nursery school and you think you know it all.
