THOD and his poor manners

THOD got a temp ban yesterday for being an idiot in shout, Chase was amazingly tolerant, but he just had to keep acting like an idiot.

Today, he has been in the clothing shop in Ave since the PM reset, and has obviously gone afk for the day...no amount of asking gained the slightest response. Normally, I wouldn't care, but apparently, his being there has prevented the shop from opening.

Can we get the "inactive boot" script put back in, and can we get someone in authority to have a nice, educational "chat" with THOD.?

He makes a habit of this...yesterday he was down and afk in efreets for the better part of an hour, preventing anyone from using it and keeping the area dead.

PLEASE, this is so annoying, esp when we had a script that did take care of these mental deficients in place until the patch...

Thanks, and we know we are annoying as drunk wolverines, so we appreciate your working with the players..

Instead of the auto-boot how about a lever that will spawn the merchant if it is during shop hours. Kind of like a "ring for service" bell.

The inactivity auto boot is useful for more than merchants.

People will kill a zone and then go to work or something, or die and leave and fail to log off...thus breaking a zone for everyone else as it locks it from respawning/resetting as long as the AFK nincompoop remains in game and logged on.

I have seen sections of ogre / mountain trail ruined for hours upon hours by some thoughtless jerk...but with the auto boot/ auto respawn script, that not only didn't happen anymore, it seemed ppl were less likely to walk off and watch tv leavin the toon logged in.

This is just what THOD did in efreets yesterday, and if u are not up to giants or trolls and are in FD, and someone FUBARS 'freets, then u are kind of left killing wolves all day.

When I was on reflections, there were usually more places to level than people; this is definitely not the case on the new single server.

On top of that, locking up a shop in avendell is particularly rude, since many toons will run there at 5th or 6th and want to buy new gear/ id what they have found, not being able to go to other places at that level...locking up one of the 3 main stores is a genuine hindrance to the whole server....not a small item.

Finally, the script for auto boot/ auto respawn is already written and tested, a new script to fix an already *fixed once* problem is probably asking leaps and bounds of the dev team who already perform so far above the bar I'd hate to harass them for a new and redundant fix.

The ice effret thing could have been solved easy. Just kill him and he will auto respawn.

Far as I knew, a good portion of the scripting that had been implimented around respawning and portal use with the RiftWell scrolls was taken out of the module. Auto respawn may not have been put back in, just like the auto reboot script.

Probably just a small oversight on the part of the devs, but it's a pain when that dead body in efreets just won't decompose! :x As I was reading I wondered why no one just killed him, but if he was dead and we didn't have auto-respawn set up, that makes more sense.

I was so frustrated with him being in the clothing shop in ave, I did something dumb and tried to PK him in the shop, in Ave. Lucky for me, the devs have thought of this, and i was "unable to damage my target with my currently equipped weapon"...lucky for him bad for us.

LOL

anyway, yeah, we thought of killing him a lot! just hasn't worked out yet...
