Shifters class should be banned from the server.

There is nothing fun about spending 4 hours collecting xp and buying all new gear for your new level then have all of the xp and items purchased stripped away and replaced with your old junk in one crash. When you rest multiple times and feel your stuff is secured and then a bug like this happens, it can be very upsetting to say the least.
This is something that is completely unacceptable to a stable playing environment and if the shifter bug remains a lingering bomb waiting to go off at the cost of hours of play time to other players then the class should be banned from the server until the bug is fixed.
This completely ruined a good evening playing with my friend when all of our items and xp was lost. Unfortanetly there are people who think crashing a server is great fun and thus a good reason to have this class banned as well.
It would be nice if the issue was addressed so players can feel confident in playing on a fairly predictable and secure playing environment.

this is why you should allways visit the website before playing on the server.
Had you looked you would have known and then mabey seen some of the things you can do to avoid the everything loss.
log out after every level.
save with book and such.
this has been an ongoing problem and dms have seen it.
just gowith the flow.
its not like u cant get the xp again

No reason to ban the class from the server.
If it bothers you that much, don't play that class.
Relax, it isn't the end of the world.

I read what a need to read to get a general orientation of the world then proceed to enjoy what I came to do, and thats play. Not scoure the website and threads of the forum for bugs and loopholes to keep your character xp and items intact. I would assume I'm not the only person that does this.
When you rest and the server tells you your character and position is saved its reasonble to expect that is indeed what happened, but this bug undermines that by no fault of the scripters of course and forces a very ugly method of saving your character which in my mind takes away from joy of group play.
logging out is not a reasonable solution, I hope the book solution works which must be another way of saving in the game without logging. Maybe this valueable information should be posted in the character journal or on the front of the website. Just a suggestion.
It's not the end of the world but if you value your time this is certianly one bug that causes a huge waste of time.

Every server has there on disctinct bugs. You chose to remain ignorant dispite the fact that the information was readly available to you because you are lazy.
You have 3 options available to you.
1) Log in/out to protect your char from this issue
2) Ignore the solution and run the risk of losing more xp and gear
3) Find another server to play on
You are not the only one to suffer from this situtation. Others have adapted, what will you do?

think this thread has gone about as far as it needs to. Just follow these steps after lvl and you should be ok 99% of the time.
1. rest
2. use book
3. log out and back in
