Update on Server

Well......
Got back in town.... server is locked up.
Attempted to restart, several errors.
Tested memory, failed.
Purchased new memory, failed.
Contacted Tech support.... bad memory controller on MB.
Need new MB.
None availible locally compatible with Raid system and memory.
So in short.....
Will be a couple of days before I can get server repaired.
I have backed up the vault and database, so when I get back up and running all characters should be restored to status as of 12-2-06, which was Friday evening provided all goes well.
I assure you, I will work towards solving this issue asap.

Well that does bite but there are some people in my life that will be grateful at least. We will keep our eyes peeled in the meantime. Thanks for the efforts.

At least they can take refuge at a server with the same module. I remember earlier this year in spring when the server was down for weeks, the refugees all had to try and get their fix over on the NS3.5 serves. But it just wasn't the same...

My place hasn't been really messy, it just hasn't been really picked up either. Come in from a camping trip, drop stuff in the living room, put it up a month later...etc.

Update
New MB and CPU installed.
All looks good, all tests and POST was good.
Raid is set up.
Installing WinXP Pro as we speak.
Still lots to do.
Unfortunately I worked late tonight so I got a late start.
I hope to have it up and running by tommorow evening or Thursday at latest.
