Basically, I'd like to see a limitation of generic DR and physical immunities, adding some penalties to wearing these "tank" items. The light gear would be used to avoid getting damaged, the heavy gear would be used to absorb lots of damage, and the medium gear would be a compromise between the light and heavy gear. Just some ideas to throw around.

As you can see, the highest weapon enhancement would be +4, which means stoneskins and +5 DR armor would be useful. Also, classes with access to +5 weapon spells or enhancement bonuses (ex. AA, Ranger - though I'm not sure if Bane of Enemies is the same in NWN2) would see these bonuses come into effect. I've not played NWN2, so I'm not sure how the DR and immunity system is there, but I did read about material-type (iron, silver, magic enhanced) DR introduced. I suppose these factors would need to be taken into consideration when designing the weapons and armors. Again, just some ideas tossed into the hat (by all means not perfect).
