doing damage defies the basis of a power word..the premise of it is you say it, it dies. no damage, no save, no chance. that 175 is with epic spell focus..otherwise i think its 100hp

Having it be damage based would also potentially bring in immunity, resistance, damage reduction issues, etc. Having it be "no save death" simply makes a check to see if the victim is 100hp, 125 (SF:Divination), 150 (GSF: Divination), or 175hp (ESF:Divination)... meet the specifications and you are flat out dead on the ground bypassing all those defenses. Mages don't need any more raw power, they exhude it with the majority of their area spells and attack spells. And what more psychological impact can you have on an opponent that just commanding them to lie down and die (or stun as it were in the alternative)

Making PWK a damage spell sounds like a bad idea... there are few spells like it, why make it another IGMS? It's actually very powerful, it just depends on your target being badly injured/near death. I've seen it kill many players in PvP since we removed death magic immunity.

it does have an sr check, thing is, its a AoE spells that pretty much smokes anything under 175 hp's

I thought the AoE version was significantly nerfed.
