Play the game anyway you like

I have been on NS4 for quite a while now and see that a lot of you want to encourage group play, ok. But there must be a lot out there who want to go it alone sometimes, just to see how far they can get. Surly experiance should reflect the difficulty in obtaining it, not as a ploy to force people to 'play' together. Why are you guys trying to re-invent the wheel, why not just accept that we all have different gaming needs? Ok you may say 'then go some place else', but I like this world, I want to see a bit more of it, not just run around killing anything that comes my way, what happened to role playing?

NS is roleplay supported,not roleplay enforced...it was like that when i came and i was told it was gonna be like that in NS4 too...dont enforce roleplay into ppl,its a PW action server with lots of things to do and actually the ability to either roleplay or not...dont spoil that

I think you are missing a key point here, this isnt necessarily an RP server. Though the Devs have made strides to make it 'more RP' as opposed to its NS3 counter part (dont flame me for tlkaing about NS3) the player base from NS3 that gave in has even changed to this 'more RP' style of play. But its not an RP server and i DO think everyone playes the way they want. No one said you CANT RP. Just dont get mad when others dont return the RP because they may not want to play it that way.

I'm not entirely sure Dar'ken meant RP vs non-RP, more along the lines of solo vs group.

Bob, above was quite right when saying that I was talking about solo play v group play. After all we are all role playing to some extent because taking on a chrachter and playing with any passion is playing a role, otherwise we might all just as well be playing space invaders! (not that there is anything wrong with that LoL) The real point I was trying to make was that it feels as if we are being forced to play a certian style, that is in a group, rather than going alone. Ok it's good fun to play in a group but there are times when solo can be more rewarding an experiance on a personal level.
Anyway, I can tell that there is a lot of feeling about this and I am glad to get some reaction, I have posted some thoughts and go none at all,

as far as solo for group play goes i think the server is really balanced in that aspect.. I can lvl a char from 1- 5 solo in about 1 hour.. to 10 in another 4-5 hours.. I dont think there is any 'forcing us to play a certain way' going on. It may be a case of you creating a charachter build that just isnt viable in this particular world and thus its not strong enough to play solo, but that gets into some other charachter build issues and pure vs munhckinism.. and is a different can of worms in and of itself.
