NS4 Needs Password Protection and password posted on rules

Ignorance runs high in ns4...
Apparently it is now 100% ok to PK in avendell... (According to maras anyways...)
And today hell sorta came up through the ground at avendell, and met his ignorance head on in a disgusting display of all that is wrong with humanity.

maras decided ns4 needed new rules and figured he would try to enforce them... His rules? PvP is ok in avendell if you kill avendell guards/townsfolk!

At first he was claiming he PKed me because i attacked him... My "attack" was on an avendell guard FAR AND CLEAR away from maras, it was a wail of banshee and Finger of Death, and was nowhere near him. Yet he claims i cast it directly on him... Anyways... It was at least 40 metres away from him (there was 2 buildings between the spell and him... and i was inbetween both... how he thought i was casting at him is beyond me, although, mabe he thinks i aimed it on him, and theres some sort of aim roll for spells, and i rolled a one?)

After a few minutes of shouting about how i was lieing and trying to PK him in avendell, i asked him to scroll up and take a screenshot...

Apparently he doesnt want to!

later that day, in avendell i killed a townsfolk so i could rest... maras opens up and his little buddy goes allong with him.

he got me a 4th time but i did not get screenshots of it, my disk was completly full thanks to the sad ammount of screenshots i've had to take today...

And it continues!
I had just pinished PKing about 4 people in ns and was running low on spells, nobody in the area left to PK... so i figure "ill go rest in the smithy"...

Thats where Artemis decides a new rule should be made! Its lame to rest in shops, so lets stop people from resting in there by setting like/dislike over and over so they cannot rest!

Point of this post? I think the ns4 servers need to be password protected and have the password given out at the bottom of the rules page so everyone that plays has no excuse for being this ridiculously ignorant.

But seriously, if I'm online and anyone starts being a pain in Avendell let me know, I can always help slap them down!

Then again I'm only a 17th Wizzie so maybe I'll get pwned.

Being out here in New Zealand I only get to encounter the late-night US crew.... does all this rubbish only happen during the day-time????
Are all the 12-year olds in bed by the time I log in???

Funny how your screenshots only show what you want them to show. They don't show you killing the shopkeeper. They don't show you calling me names in shout, which last time I looked was totally against the commandments. It's funny you seem to think you have the right to attack anyone you feel like, including Avendell guards/shopkeepers and if anyone tries to stop you, you start crying "screenshots screenshots. you're gonna get banned."

I read in the commandments that they are subject to revision if circumstances warrant. One would think that you killing guards/shopkeepers/commoners and generally disrupting the trade city of Avendell without fear of a God striking you down, warrants revision. Of course, I'm no DM so I might get banned for protecting the shopkeepers/guards of the only city I can shop in, but so be it.

It seems like everytime you log on you cause problems. It seems you feel the commandments are there for your convenience, to bend as much as possible without breaking them (except for the fact you killed shopkeepers and visciously insulted me in shout) You like to call people moron and ignorant, thinking you're better than everyone else. It's my hopes that the DM's eventually come to the conclusion that you're just a problem creator and your only intention when logging in, is to make it harder on everyone else playing for your own amusement.

Hope you get over yourself one day.

You crack me up nom, I love playing with you. From what i have been told from dm's/devs/people on IRC, there is no PKing in avendell no matter what. this i guess includes defending avendell from player attacks..if someone wants to outcast to avendell they should be able to. its nobody's job to protect avendell from player attacks..

Im going to have to side with nom on this one.

DM's should respond to this and clarify for everyone what can and cannot be done in avendell.

and nom you should really clear out at least 1 gig of space so your operating system can cache / use hard drive space as virtual memory..thats a good way to slow down performance and cause crashes in some case's. if however NWN is installed on a different drive than your OS then I suppose its fine, as long as its not the same drive your OS is using for your pagefile..

I thought it something said that attacking was not allowed in avendell.
And if so, doesn't that make you also ignorant?

III Thou shalt not initiate combat in Avendell. Thou SHALL control or dissmiss thy summons and pets in Avendell so that THEY do not initiate combat.

As far as i can tell there doesn't need any clarification simpler than this, >no combat< , both players broke the same rule in this case.

1) I never killed the bloody shop keeper. He wasent there because i ran in there at nighttime moron.
2) "name calling" in shout, yes, i've called you a moron countless times, but stating the obvious is not against the rules. I think anyone that saw what was going on would agree, you are a complete moron. And that is as far as my insults have ever gone.
3) Killing the guards in avendell is allowed. What the hell do you expect me to do? sit there and wait for them to kill me? KILLING MOBS IS NOT PVP. "NO PVP IN AVENDELL" RULE DOES NOT APPLY TO KILLING COMPUTER CONTROLLED CHARACTERS.

PvP = Player vs Player.
PvP != Player vs Computer.

And thanks Zhorn, =P i could have killed him, but i dont bother fighting back in avendell, i'd much prefer to take the screenshot and let the rules get the better of him.

"I" dont cause problems. Every time i log on you can see people start relogging with their highest lvl chars and then start cussing at me in shout. Even before i start killing anything.

I know the guards of Avendell, and they are good men. They live by a code of honor, and protecting the fair trade for all sake. They are not men that goes on random killing sprees, and i find it hard to believe that they attacked you of no reason at all, and their reason of attacking you must be found in a prior incedent where you initiated hostile acts on this sanctuary of trading.

You've got plenty of excuses Terminal.

In light of the situation, I believe we have 2 courses of action:

a) Hope that a DM or two hear about this, and judge Terminal.
If found innocent (which he may well be), then they should restore neutral (i.e. friendly) status between himself and the town of Avendell.

b) Terminal should be killed onsight, when found in Avendell. (obviously, at risk of your own life - hehe). After all, he can't expect to come into the town and expect a warm reception.
