A Race!!!!!

The Avendell Race had great promise.

DM's decorated the path of the race, entertained people with cows while we waited and we had 4 competeing teams. After a few wrinkles were ironed out we began the race. Unfortunately the Drow team did not read the rules forbidding darkness and other sight obscuring abilities, so the race had to be re-run.

Then after all this work, people found they needed to interfere in the race by casting spells and PKing the racers. We tried to Stop the interference, but it meant that we could not judge or conduct the race and the participants (naked L1 characters half of them) were left disappointed.

We refunded the entry fees and gave our apologies to those who participated. THERE WAS NO WINNER BECAUSE A WINNER COULD NOT BE DECLARED.

Next time we will make sacrifice to the Gods and hope we can attempt to provide fun on the server for those who are interesed.

We want to show that with creativity and initiative you can make the server even more fun and not have to go around irritating the beejeezus out of everyone. This kind of thing is a way to CONTRIBUTE to the server. As opposed to just sucking enjoyment from it (either interpretation is equally valid).

The Mafia will keep trying to do this sort of thing, and in the future we will plan for the inevitable percentage of dross that have nothing better to do than spread hate and discontent.

In the men time REDRUM and MISS STINKYPANTS are the first members of the Mafia "Black List" and will get no help, goods, favors, cooperation, or conversation from the Mafia.
