22: " I understand that characters will be given full hit points when they level up".- This is true. Although you may not get the full hit points initially upon leveling up, a script has been placed in the module that will once a day propvide characters with maximum hit points. Once the characters has been given maximum hit points, he will then retain the hit points from that point forward.
The above is taken from the divided kingdoms server, can u please implement this here. On occasion i have had to stand there leveling up over 20 times yes 20 to get max hp its a waste of time and very annoying - problem solved
well implenting max hp's on lvl up got my vote. Don't think there are alot of ppl that are clicking on the ok button when it says 5hps gained while max is 13....

Yup, you want the max hps (and for the record I always go for them and delvel if I take less then max by accident), you got to work for them. IMO, scripts that automatically give max hps on every level is for the lazy.
I'm kind of a hypocrite on this too. In my pnp games I make the players keep whatever they roll, including 1s.
i take what i get......i am a true gamer. not having max hp is just another quirk in your char's personality that should be his/her own. trust me, i have a lvl 18 sorc/rdd with 60hp.

well think this:
a lvl 30 fighter with end constition 20 for example:
* max hitpoints = 30 X (5 + 10) = 450 hp
* average roll = 30 X (5 + 5.5) = 315 hp
* min hitpoints = 30 X ( 5 +1 ) =180 hp
So taking what you get will result after 30 levels in approx a loss of 135hp
and in the extreme 270 hp less.
Well if not max hps , than taking the feat toughness.... just not make sense than... only getting 30 hp extra than... what's 30hps extra for taking a feat if you loose 135?
But in the end i must say in the DnD we play at home we roll for our hp's as well and need to take what the dice give you... But DnD isn't on the other hand as playing NSN eighter
NWN rolls at least 50. If you are a fighter roll of 5 if the lowest you will get in this game. Ever noticed this when playing 10 con rogue? You never get 1 HP, always at least 3. So average for NWN is at 75% of rolls, 375 for that fighter.

One of the most popular and balanced PvP arena servers "Bastions of War" has this implemented via a script that can be run once a day. It logs you and has you wait while the Leto script runs on your character file. If you log in too early you can't do it til the next day.
It would be nice to add this as an option to the log in screen "Maximize HD". Now that Leto is linked with the server this should be able to be done.
In my PnP games I don't use random HD. HD are a standard amount per level plus Con bonus. The "randomizing" comes in during combat taking damage; no need to randomize on two ends, IMO.
This also balances PvP out well, so that "hard core" gamers don't get an unfair advantage versus more casual gamers who are less apt to redo their levels over and over for max hp.

It speeds things up a lot if you accept a 7/8 or 9/10 instead of shooting for perfect. Now, if I had a 1d4/level char, I'd go for perfect...but you have a higher % chance of it then.... especially since the NWN dice are very non-random.

im against the idea ..i like unperfect things.
LOL! Even your spelling is imperfect... Chase you are so deep on so many levels, I almost missed it.
Personally, I don't care.. I don't mind rerolling, I usually get max pretty quick, it's just a pain when you're adding many skillpoints, modifying spells and taking a feat that the wrist starts burning (one reason I despise leveling at low levels, I spend more time leveling than playing).
I've played on servers with max hp scripts. It's nice for the players, until you realize all the limitations it requires. The solution they came up with, which seems to be the only realistic one possible, is to change the hp of the characters when the player is logged off. To make this work, the server had to be down each day to update all the characters and the server limited the number of characters per account to 4.
