New Areas Crash Me

So I use to play NS3 North about 2 years ago. I come back to find the server in full bloom. New items and new areas make it fun to explore some where I alredy feel at home at. Here is the problem, as I have got chars high enough for areas designed for high lvl toons I find my self needing items from them. I have Epic toons on East, Pac and MW. There are areas I'm unable to access. So far that ones I have found are the elemental shrine, area where NS Boots drop and area where NS cloak drops. I go to port to the area and the load screen for the area gets to about 2% compleet and them my game locks up and crashes and i'm left with a char stuck in a loading transition. I'm unable to play that char till reset so I just log a different char on and start to lvl. Please some one help me with this. It sucks not to be able to enjoy such a killer server with a great Dev team and great DM's.

P.S And I forgot to mention that it happens on all 3 servers. Not just one.

do you have Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the underdark expansion sets installed? you need those in order to access certain zones.

I have NWN Platinum and the full CEP. It's not a problem with my computer it's a server problem. Will the Dev team reply to this post or just other players/DM's?

Actually, it is most likely a problem with your computer. Otherwise every player would have your problem. Try disabling shiny water (if you have it on) or disabling sound (from the config utility).

Clear out your override folder and your hakpak folder as well as cranking down your video settings. I dont know what it is as NS is hakpak free, but I suspect some sloppy workmanship (and you can quote me on that) in many of the hak paks that are out and around, including CEP.

For most people, unchecking shiny water does the trick, for everyone else clearing the hakpaks and override does it.

Thx for the info all. Turns out it was the CEP and Hak fils keeping me from enjoying the server
