Ghost Captain

Alright, I've been having the most ridiculous luck with ghost captain spawns for the NS belt. Everyone tells me its a random timed spawn. So far, with 3 separate attempts i've waited over an hour. I've tried everything from killing the spiders, not killing the spiders, bashing the tombstone, not bashing the tombstone, running around island, not running around island, logging off and on, not logging off at all, etc.

What the heck is up with this spawn? Am I the only one with this ridiculous luck at the spawn rate? With the 45 min wait on the boat and then the wait on the Captain, isn't enough enough?

While we are at it, ammy drops seem to be crazy at times, 30 plus attempts? At least I've lucked out couple times and got it withing 12, but sheesh! I seem to average, ( with helping others get it) about 1 in the the low 20's attempts.

I rather have items drop more regularly but from tougher bosses than having to do this endless mind numbing work. Come on DM's, the game is suppose to be fun and challenging, not pure tedium.

Anybody else getting this too or do I have some kind of curse?

The Ghost Captain spawns quite reliably, actually. The trick is finding out where his encounter trigger is...

actually, i think things get all wonky if people log out on the island in order to camp. but yeah--running around for the spawn trigger is your best bet.
