When enough should be enough - PK'ing

Post by kingfatzo »

I must first appologize for bringing another issue about Pk'ing up on the forums, I know it has been discussed before and i too am tired of hearing about it. But some people dont know when to stop. What is more amazing is that this doesnt involve a member of the KST guild -- truly astonishing, because they even know when enough is enough. I would also like to add that this is not me "crying" or complaining about the issue that affected me yesterday, I HAVE NO NEED TO CONTINUE ARGUING WHAT HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY BECUSE I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THERE IS NOTHING TO ARGUE. instead i feel that i must reveal what happened and get peoples opinions on this issue....
Yesterday, while leveling my 11 monk in the Ogre Pass i was Pked by a individual named " you R " ( account name: Nspker ) (obviously this is public information) .... no suprise: i think everyone is used to being Pk'ed up there and it is a normal event.... however as i am traveling from NS, BACK to avendell after respawing, i am Pk'ed once again on the road by the same individual... He says somthing similar to that it is "my fault that i have crossed his path again".... So i respawn and AGAIN attempt to re-group with my party in Avendell, when i yet again am Pk'ed by the same individual ( he was traveling south from avendell)... making that 3 times in roughly 15 MINUTES. <<< read that again if you must >>> .... 3 times in 15 minutes.... i am aware that the server policy is more than 3 pk's in a 6 hour period is a violation according to the Rules posted on this forum, but i feel that exceptions should be made when it comes to this excessiveness. ( for all i know somthing was already mentioned this player, obviously not for breaking any rules becuase this individual who pk'ed me DID NOT BREAK ANY RULES )... yes that must be clear to everyone.
Now, my point of telling you this is NOT to persuade the DM's to do anything, i have spoken to them already and i understand that technically there is nothing that can be done; i must add that they were very helpful. What i want everyone to realize is that such behavior can easily persuade newer players to leave the server, and it could also be the "straw that breaks the camels back" for ANY player(s) who are looking for a reason to leave.
I feel that EVERYONE should think to themselves before they intentionally PK someone MULTIPLE TIMES in such a SHORT PERIOD OF TIME , and i would also like to remind everyone that a lvl 11 monk couldnt remotley harm any epic class character. There is no reason to waste another players gaming time just to please yourself... it should not be seen as fun or funny.
In conclusion to my rant, I would like to note that these opinions represent ME and ME alone, and any resopnses should be addressed to ME , and not the guild to which i belong. ( yes i used the word me alot... i'm in college, what do you want from me ! )

Thank you. :D

hehehe... shoudve made the text cyan and yellow, maybe this blue ... lol, btw, okies and slaves where primarily the ones why the pking rules and revisions came about... be glad you wherent in the timeline they where... and despite of people leaving, there will be people coming in as well...the player base will not go down because of actions like you r's. evenmore so that now we actually have active devs!!! and the soon is not "maybe in the next year or so..." or the "dont really count on it".

/me gives a cookie to each dev... :D

Ok you R is a pker ..... noone is real sure who he is but he likes to pop up and kill people for no reason....

Just wait till your higher level and youll make pancakes out of him .... it isnt a real tough build to beat....

Seconed ...... new people comming to the server upon entering this realm are given a web site to go to to check out all the rules game play and everything that the server entails. If they dont read this it is not a fault of the server or people playing here. There are about 10+ threads about pking..... we have a wikki *tips hat to wikki editors* with all the rules and we have multiple posts about guilds and their play styles...

If the new person does not read these pieces of info given to them fromm THE BEGINNING than its their fault...

Usually when i see a new person i kill them instantly.... Then when they send me a tell with "is pking allowed" or "what are the pking rules" or even with a "your a %&#*()#)(&#$^^()$)$*(^#^(" i allways redirect them to our web site.

9 out of 10 times they come back with a thanks and have a better understanding of the server and how it works....

They know to stay away from kst if an enimy , of all the cool crap we have, and about current events and things happening in the communtiy...

If they get pked 3 times then leave or whatever the situation is then mabey they shouldnt be here since pvp is encouraged here.....

thats just my 2 cents.

I got pk'd by him as well. I checked his build and found he's lvl 40. I cant recall, but something like 35 wizard, 1 monk, 4 shadowdancer. Not an easy character for anyone to beat, and horribly munkin.

Youre mistaken Myrdyr, I can beat you R with my lvl 27 pure sorcerer, and she is a crappy build.

Of all the PKers on NS4 you R is the worst player. That means that a decent person can kill him 15 lvls lower than him.

he has to rebuild accordnig to the new 5 level min on crossclass therefore he will be 30 wi/5monk/5sd or some combination, but my lvl 32 wiz makes waffles and muffins out of him every time...

I had a friend before he left this realm ...*cough Havok cough* weho beat him with a level 23 Pali/sorc/sder....yeah its a cheesew build but nonetheless 18 levels under him...

Leveld chars are usually better cause you level them ... you know there flaws and there weaknesses.

As a level 40 char given to you it tends to leave gaps if you just make him up off the top of your head.

Most builds (even cheese builds) can be beaten by someone lowerlevel. And this is where skill comes in.

Keep leveling youll get there.

yeah.. you R is a crappy build (he has 7 shadowdancer..wtf is that?), he likes to double-haste so you can't KD him, and he REALLY likes to see his name come up... I personally like to see "you R Dead" it makes a funny sshot:

Killing level 40 builds is quite a rush, especially DM ones ;]

Back to the topic.

Sinec he had allready killed you twice, and you knew there was a very good chance of running into him on your way from NS to Avendell, why is it you didn't try to avoid the roads? Unless he was standing on SR avendell it shouldn't have been a problem to avoid him.

Yes i could have done that, but by that time i wanted to see just how lame a person could be... that and i'm rather lazy. And yes he was progressing rather slowly from Avendell to NS on the roads... hard to avoid unless i took the long way to avendell.
