strangness

ok...i've seen this happen to me twice. once in the fire plane to my summon the other last night in shadow to me and summon. the puffs of damage seem to do full hp damage until your dead instantly. since its the planes and there are no saves...its all insta death damage.

anyone got any ideas on this?

also btw i've noticed anyone going to the shadow plane makes jump lag for most others on the server...is this just a coincedence?

I thought stressing the server was only good for making NPCs dumb

well..with 11 people on and i started in shadow plane. when i got to the HiPSing Shadur Kai it started getting jump laggy. meaning the mobs were doing everything they needed to but i couldn't do anything. which would be the inverse ideal lag that we are used to ;(

Happened to me too last night in Shadow Plane...it did 520 damage to me and killed my summon...fortunately losing 520 hp didn't kill me...I recommend having prot elements or energy buffer in the planes at all times...

I say it's karmic payback for the ambush your goons did on us which cost me some XP.

I've heard of cases where a single burst caused 500 points of damage. But in this case, it seems to be cumulative damage. Also, chew out your party members for not trying to heal you when you got low on hps (assuming any of them could).

wasn't near party members and there is no healing when its insta damage...do you know what that is? its when you take damage instantly like dm death and you die. then when you look back its a long scroll of damage that came from nowhere. it happened in the fire plane to my summon the other day and he took over 800hps damage. thats enough to kill any pc on this server.

I noticed that if you're running around certain creatures in the plane of fire you will take a ton of dmg because of lag popping you in and out of their damage aura radius 20 times in the same round.

well, its a series of small damage bursts so just take epic energy resistance cold and you'll barely feel it.
