I suggest that once a player reaches "1000" posts, his/her count is automatically reset to "0". This should stop most of the useless spam that is going on.

I make this suggestion as I often read the forum at work to catch up on what is going on. I constantly find myself looking at useless drival with no purpose or meaning.

I hope this is enacted. It would make my Christmas wish come true.

If post counts didn't matter, and you truely did not care about numbers but rather about posting useful info, then this suggestion by Mest would not be a problem.

What purpose does postcounts serve? Seniority?

Try establishing intelligent posts and you will earn a board-wide reputation as an authority on various topics. You won't even need a postcount if people know you're a go-to kinda person.

In reality, it's almost a sort of shallow self-validity. Most serious dissussion-type boards I visit have them turned off completely.

....in all seriousness, many of my posts are indeed spam, and i will keep my fiendish spamming isolated in the threads that it belongs, i encourage all other spammers to do the same...But, i disagree with your idea...the forum isnt like an old car, where the o-dometer turns over at 200,000 miles.......if u are upset that your post count is low, then go spam the spam thread---just dont go nuts....we dont want to aggrivate tgpo any more than he may be already.

1.) Conflicts with ranks. No one would be able to reach the top one at 1.2k posts (or I think thats where it is).

2.) Knock yourself out, if anyone feels they need a high post count on a forum for a server on an old game....then something is wrong.

3.) Its not spam as much as it is the flames. TGPO was mad, because some of you were talking smack, off-topic in a section where someone just wanted help.
