Not sure how tough this would be to code, but perhaps you can't transition through those tunnels unless your faction's relic is currently captured or in possession of someone from RK and in transit?
That provides both the protection to RK and eliminates gratuitous relic running exploitation.

Light a fire for for some one and keep them warm for a night....Light someone on fire and keep them warm for the rest of their life.
Enemies should *not* be allowed to take the pech tunnel straight into the Upper Stronghold. Dropping keys like that would enable an enemy to do so.
Also, I agree with Banny and others that AO should be able to use the pech tunnels as long as they are still considered friendly to RK. Just like the fey portal between NC and TC. The only reason for them not to is the roleplay aspect that RK has a tenuous alliance with AO.

Pech tunnels.
No faction outside of RK should be allowed to use the Pech Tunnels unless your offering to give all access to the Last Alliances Ports and so on. I mean fair is fair.

i agree with banny about the halflings being added....they are kinda loner out there...they need a home...and rk is a good place....they are practically gnomes anyway....off topic i know but meh....on topic it's just a little tunnel...yes it let's u go faster to ur home but ur a dwarf...dwarves know the mtn better then other people...but i would not mind the tunnels restricting access to us dwarves if we have a relic...but maybe something else would be that every faction gets a short cut that their typical races use.....dwarves=tunnels-BannyD- wrote:

ao= special dragons only they can use...la ferries only they can use...sl since they are underground too maybe a portal only they can see?...nc= angels that can transport?...ma= relic shards they can use that transport directly to there home....melencia???not sure what they could use...maybe some different type of dragon....like a forest dragon (making that up) and maybe also for strategic purposes these portals could be closed by killing and or bashing them to restrict acces during raiding....would only be allowed if said faction had a relic?????....don't know how hard that would be to script but would be pretty cool..

bah, about the only thing im hearin on this thread is a bunch of people complaining about RK having something that helps them out, you people arent complaing about it because of commin to get your relic, your complaining that it takes you a little bit of time to come and get RK's relic. whens the last time you actually saw all of the relics in RK. bah

Actually I agree with Bannny D the only objection is that it lets the Dwarves grab an AO relic..and quick Port to their stronghold. And as Fricebottle reiterated..it takes them directly to the Stronghold. So How about a Port near SL and LA and MA that takes AO members directly to Sleeth Dragons EYE with a relic? Of course not. That is absurd to even consider. Hence the objection to Rk having essentially the same thing.

Then I say charge a toll for non-RK to use and it will be the same as someone taking the ferry from FD to AO and being dropped off in the city. As I see it most factions with the exception of LA aren't more than 6 maps from a ferry or dragon with LA only being marginally closer to the dragon in Ave. RK on the other hand is what? 10 maybe 12 maps(not 100% sure) from dragon.
