every time i have used a book, i take SS's before, during and after its implimentation just in case theres a problem i have it documented so i can send them to zing and with his infinite wisdom and allmighy power could ideally fix it for me

for the record i used a +2 cha book on an earth genasi (-2 cha leto race) and got the expected +2 bonus. havent tried a +4 cha book on him yet (and maybe never will, i have never seen a +4 book ever).
I think somehow the bugs were either worked out, or the fact that the server doesn't ride at-capacity for long periods (ie: pre-reflection) fixed it...
I've used about 6 books in the past month or two and every one worked -- mind you I haven't done any books on a subrace negative stat, instead I've readjusted my build plans to avoid needing to do so.
as for +4 .. ehhe.. i have found a bunch of 'em, a couple were 'won' in DM events, but some have dropped. I have noticed the frequency of books seems to have declined over time... possibly due to the ever increasing number of artifacts being added into the db? Back when the server opened freshly out of beta, I found 4 books in a week, now i'm lucky to find 1 in the exact same number of mob kills (and I do check every drop).
Speaking of +4 books... anyone want to trade me for a +4 cha book I have on reflections for a +4 cha (or other +4) on main?
