'Tis but brief..

Post by Poet »

'Tis but brief, this death I seek...with he, whose death is worth waiting a lifetime longing for.
Poet

Those are the words you see scrawled in the old darkened oak pillar in the back corner of the Inn. This Inn, as you remember is a safe haven for those who travel into the city of trade. Many souls are bound to the rift in it's corner room and many young ones flow through the rift as thier lives are given back to them after some misfortune.

"Who's death is the Poet speaking of?" you wonder. "A death worth waiting a lifetime longing for?" you ask yourself.

The mystery is there in the oaken pillar, seemingly carved with a dagger and stained with a scarlet liquid.

"Could this be the blood of the one who is spoken of in the cryptic lyrics?"
A shudder surges through your body at the thought of it, but the desire to run the tips of your fingers over the words, becomes more than you can withstand. As you touch the etchings, a vision of a dark eyed woman adorned in the darkest shades of purple, fills your mind. There is a playfulness about her but you sense that there may be a great danger surrounding anyone who crosses her. She hurls the ruby bladed dagger into the air and catches it between her teeth, before carefully sheathing it beneath her cloak.

The vision fades quickly and you feel a weakness come upon you. As you rise in an attempt to orient yourself again, you hear a quiet whisper...

"I am Poet. Beware... for your life may be as brief as your death in this realm".
